good for him
- RIMR 7y agoI really hate this sentiment. The "if it makes you money it's good" mindset is the core of most corporate moral-rot. I don't care if what he did was legal, or if it benefitted him as a capitalist. It's unethical, and makes us all question the value of the WeWork ecosystem.
- Proven 7y agoWhy are you questioning it - IIRC the NYT wrote "feel good" articles about those visionaries several times ... > It's unethical You can't know whether it is or isn't. It's quite likely ethical - share with others the opportunity to make money off their WeWork investment. Maybe they'll instead lose money, but he didn't force them to buy it, so what exactly might be unethical about it?
- alt_f4 7y agoHe didn't say it is good for investors, shareholders, employees, whatever. he said it is good FOR HIM. And it is, the dude is set for life, even if this company goes down in flames. I doubt anyone (incl. you) in his shoes, given the option, would not do it.
