Wouldnt white meat, and especially chicken and turkey, be much cheaper ? In any generic supermarket in France, 1 Kg of chicken, the good kind with no additionnal hormones and grown up on the outside (as opposed to factory chicken) costs maybe a third of the equivalent in beef, and is also significantly lower than pork (and we're not talking high quality beef and pork there). Not making any opinion as the overall point of you comment, just wondering why beef if money is the big factor.
