What's a free f-droid alternative?
- majewsky 7y agoWell, F-Droid already is the free alternative (to the Play Store). Maybe we'll see another FOSS app store pop up because of this, but I won't count on it. People may start their own app store projects, then quickly cave once they realize what a large undertaking they signed up for.
- BubuIIC 7y agoThe alternative is of course to host your own repo. These can be added to the f-droid client.
- beatgammit 7y agoI'm hoping the librem 5 goes well. I'm tired of Google and Fdroid, I just want to be able to pull up a shell and install whatever I want.
