Web framework for side projects for server side guy

After years of contemplating which web framework to use for personal project as a server side guy (spring mvc, angualr, react, vue, plain js no framework, jquery, laravel, ruby on rails, django, etc) I have reached this conclusion: Server side templating is the best for this kind of work so it can be either php (server side templating with php) / ejs (server side templating with javascript) or jsp (server side templating with java) Somehow I lost touch and focus and forgot about server side templating by all these angular, react etc. they managed to mix me up.
