- pnathan 7y agoThis is my strong takeaway on China economy articles- most are enormously wrong in their predictions, and not simply in a few random details; fundamentally they have been wrong about the China system collapsing for years and years and years. I mean, sure, some day things will change substantially - change happens and the decades of doomsays will claim they were right all along. But that's stopped clock thinking. :-/
- jariel 7y agoThe 'delusion' is all of the people lamenting the media predicting a 'crash' on this thread. There's no such thing. They're talking about a slowdown - not a crash - which has already happened. It's not a prediction, it's a reality: China is not growing fast enough to put itself into '1st world' territory as have done Japan, Taiwan and S. Korea. And FYI few were predicting a 'China crash', rather, a crash specifically in the property market which is not unreasonable.
