  Not even cynical, conspiratorial. Something's going around between a certain type of tech worker where all coverage of tech issues is framed as a conspiracy of old media against new media (as if new media doesn't own massive pieces of old media.) I think it's to deal with the cognitive dissonance of working on things that are thought of by the majority of the public as bad, but without actually having to confront the specifics.

  I couldn't care less about google, but Bloomberg has a past of bullshit stories (like the china chip thing) and 3 articles in just 2 days rings the bell
