Regime caries a negative connoation which was previously used to often describe tin-pot dictators. I always heard of the "Obama administration", which has a much more positive connotation. It's subtle but evident partisanship.
- happytoexplain 7y agoI agree abut the negative connotation, but I also have absolutely heard major news outlets refer to it as the Obama regime. Yes, it's used as an insult, but yes too, Trump's administration is more authoritarian than at least the past handful.
