VGA?!
- heartbreak 7y agoA clear example of “just because you can doesn’t mean you should.”
- marcolussetti 7y agoI found it very common here (Canada) for projector setups. I have to carry an adapter with me just in case.
- userbinator 7y agoLots of (very, very expensive) projectors still use it, and a good VGA cable will work well beyond 1080p resolutions, so why not. The connector is also more robust than the effete HDMI/DisplayPort/etc. ones that have tiny pins, purely by being bigger.
- tootie 7y agoI have spent a good amount of time working with 10 and 12k DLP projectors and they all support HDMI just fine.
- alluro2 7y agoSo, "I have seen the examples of opposite, so what you're saying is never true"?
- nulbyte 7y agoLots of old equipment a system administrator might work with also uses VGA.
- myself248 7y agoMy kingdom for the VGA port having an input mode! A friend of mine has built a little raspberry-pi-laptop with an internal HDMI switch and a USB device-sharing gizmo, so he can use it as a portable KVM for sysadmin tasks. I wish that was more common!
- discordance 7y agoAlthough we all think Japan is futuristic, it's also very old school in a lot of ways. Regular Japanese office life can feel surprisingly backwards.
- kimjongman 7y agoever been to a meeting in Japanese company in Japan?
