It's very hard in America to send people to treatment against their will, so they end up on the streets.
- dbcurtis 7y agoThis. In the Bad Old Days, the US had the habit of over-institutionalizing people. The pendulum has now swung. We replaced a system that was inhumane and lacking in nuance with a system that is inhumane and lacking in nuance.
