I agree. We already have JPEG, a format that can be used without obvious patent problems. I don't think the world needs a format with obvious patent problems.

I agree. We already have JPEG, a format that can be used without obvious patent problems. I don't think the world needs a format with obvious patent problems. Saving some bytes is nice, but when people are streaming videos and audio, shaving off a few bytes isn't worth the endless lawsuits.
