Ask HN: When would you consider refactoring your codes?

If it an't broke, would you consider refactoring the codes? I'm coding, coding, coding, end up I got this long chunk of codes, it works! But in the long term, I guess it's going to be crazy maintaining it. When's a good time to refactor it?
