In the demo matches in January, AlphaStar did deploy "superhuman" techniques (that even the top players can't deploy consistently or at all). IIRC the issues were: while AlphaStar had a per minute APM budget, it could distribute it strategically. The point was made that the peak wasn't much higher than pro players, but that fails to take into account that A* has much better timing and accuracy during these peaks. People in the comments made points about "perfect timing" and "management of focus" and I concur wholeheartedly.
