I agree, the subscription pestering is annoying. They do still offer a standalone version though. I just upgraded from an ancient Windows version (4 or 5) to 1P

I agree, the subscription pestering is annoying. They do still offer a standalone version though. I just upgraded from an ancient Windows version (4 or 5) to 1Password 7 for $49. They really avoid mentioning that the standalone exists, but just install 7 and there is a purchase option.
- thom 7y agoWell, that’s several hundred dollars of their software which I would have happily bought if they’d told me about it.
- WillPostForFood 7y agoI totally agree. I understand why they push subscriptions, and they offer decent value for the subscription, but they are going too far in hiding the standalone. The hard sell is probably a net loss for them.
