Captchas are an anti-pattern. Make account creation easy then handle any spam issues within the system yourself. Why make your users suffer for what is basically the service's problem to fix? It's a lazy way out.
- davidweatherall 7y agoWith invisible recaptcha most users won't even see a captcha challenge when they sign up to forms
- ebiester 7y agoBecause most users won't subject themselves to the signup fee to make this revenue neutral. It's an interesting alternative, though. Pay 5 bucks with the credit card to validate your identity if you don't want to subject yourself to captcha...
