- vermilingua 7y agoSuspend it in water, I would guess. How much water, is the important question.
- foxyv 7y agoRight, so smuggle my Californium inside a rare shark swimming in a tank of water. That would make for an interesting news story!
- burke 7y agoHey, maybe this is why there are such bizarre rules about sizes of liquid containers.
- coolspot 7y agoNo, it is due to existence of liquid explosives and undetectable liquid components to make it. Email me for detailed recipe: not-a-trap@fbi.gov
- atemerev 7y agoFor 18g of californium, not really :) Unless we are talking about a huge thick-walled container layered with boron and depleted uranium.
- ggm 7y ago"hey, joe, that family saloon is dragging its fat ass across the floor: do you think it has a lot of depleted uranium inside it?" I guess the cost of uprated springs is worth it, to the dedicated smuggler.
- ummwhat 7y agoSince neutrons don't have an electric charge, they are hard to deflect. Neutrons are really only deflected by head on collisions with an atomic nucleus whereas charged particles are deflected by a near miss due to the electromagnetic force. Shielding from neutron radiation usually involves thick and heavy layers of lead.
