I was/am in a similar situation but with one kid. The trick I use is to use my travel time efficiently. I travel by public transport. ~1.5 hours each way. I read on my Kindle and note down thoughts/points in a physical diary. When I come home, I give my undivided to my kid. Has worked pretty well :-)
