This reminds me of one of the best real-life history log entries I have seen:

- prodigal_erik 16y agoAround 1990 I went through a phase of using vi for trivial edits, because I could finish them in less time than it would take for Emacs to start on the shared(!) hosts available to me. After that, the bounty of Moore's law let me keep one open all the time.
