I'm from Nepal. We had a 7.8 earthquake in 2015 which was pretty devastating. When the first quake happened, I did run. But it didn't really occur to me that we'd had an earthquake until after. It was like I was auto responding to an emergency, but the mind hadn't had time to process that it was an earthquake. And, this is considering the fact that we'd sort of known that a big one was due soonish.
