Odroid, Latte Panda, Pine, and others went with dedicated tried and true barrel jacks. I appreciate re-using the same microusb cables and chargers for my iPhone and headset charger for my Pi3, and not having to handle Yet Another Wall Wart, but barrel jacks would have sidestepped this whole issue.
