Bangladeshi politics is heavily manipulated by small groups of incumbents. If it were truly democratic then you would see Sharia law implemented there. In day to day living there for the commoner, you'd assume Sharia law was already in effect. It's a country with a high likelihood of mass revolt in the coming future.
