I believe that the next big innovation in energy will come out of Africa. There are over 600 million people without electricity in sub-Saharan Africa and bringing them online is one of the biggest challenges facing the world (c.f. SDG 7). At the same time there are some amazing innovations coming out of Africa with regards to decentralised electricity. My mission is to get more people involved in innovation in the energy space in Africa.
