Screwing up the bottom of the population pyramid will probably not do the world much good, it needs to be a very gradual ramp down or it will create havok by tanking production in the future to where we might not be able to sustain anything at all. Wether having that extra thing to worry about beyond climate change is preferable to having a harder time fighting climate change is beyond me.
