My previous job came from a "who wants to be hired" thread (and by extension my current job, which came about through people I worked with). An engineering manager noticed my post and passed it to their internal recruiters. I was interviewing with multiple companies and they came out on top. It turned out to be a great experience. After 4 years they were acquired and most of us have moved on, and several of us formed the engineering team at a seed stage startup.
