Could you elaborate? This whole world is new to me.
- Pfhreak 7y agoThere are a number of websites where speedrunners gather, share resources and tips, and validate their runs. (There's significant prestige in being the world record holder for a game/category.) Additionally, there are constant charity events that are moving millions of dollars annually. For example, a week long event just closed that raised 3 million US dollars for Doctors Without Borders. Those events need staff full time to support their mission, plan for future events, etc.
- glacials 7y agoI build and run Splits.io, a self-analytics tool for speedrunners. They upload basically log streams and I tell them where they can get better.
