Ask HN: Do you use text summarizing apps?

I mean apps that summarize articles, PDFs, essays, etc. I've seen these apps and I don't tend to use them because in my experience even the ones that are good, are only maybe up to 70% good and there's high likelihood the app misses some key section. I was wondering if anyone else has had experience with them, and why or why not you use them.
