Doesn’t WSL depend on a Windows host though? Can WSL be used as an independent OS?
- a012 7y agoW is for Windows in WSL, so no.
- tyingq 7y agoBased on reading this: https://github.com/microsoft/WSL2-Linux-Kernel/issues/1 https://github.com/microsoft/WSL2-Linux-Kernel/issues/1 I think the MS kernel would run fine without Windows.
- lozenge 7y agoIf I were implementing it, I would definitely want to be able to test it using qemu without Windows.
