I have a lot of respect for the author for writing this. I think anyone who has kids and also cares about their work finds themselves on this spectrum, and they have to decide where they’re going to live on that spectrum. I’m further in the direction of kids than the author probably is, but I’m also not freeing wrongly convicted criminals. In any case, I’m very reluctant to judge another parent’s choice of how to juggle work and family.
