This is an excellent analysis of JS performance and usage, although it seems to suggest optimizing your site for V8 a bit too much. Also, the "LONG TASKS MONOPOLIZE THE MAIN THREAD. BREAK 'EM UP!" section header felt a bit on the nose.

  Which parts of the article aren't applicable to Firefox? It seems like most of these idioms should give advantages to SpiderMonkey (if it's still called that) and V8.
