I recently moved to electric as my preferred mode of transportation, and as a result ride an e-moped around a family busy city in central Europe. When I first started riding I rapidly became very aware that people just don't hear it, and are not used to looking for danger on the roads they're about to step on, if they haven't first heard it coming. So I've sat at many a traffic light considering the viability of making an app for mobile that is essentially a motion triggered synthesiser, getting louder/changing pitches/stepping through a song sequence as the e-moped rider picks up speed. It has been a thought game I've played, at least a few times, and mostly after some near misses. However lately this whole concept was defeated when I realised, basically, all I needed is a little bell to hang on the handle-bars ...
