Oh, like Bloomberg's The Big Hack?
- closetohome 7y agoFirst thing that came to mind. As far as I know they're still claiming it was accurate.
- blueboo 7y agoAnd it certainly hasn’t been proven false
- lame-robot-hoax 7y agoI mean they’re the ones making the claim, the onus probandi lies with them.
- shaklee3 7y agoThey can claim whatever they want. But they have no proof, and there has been plenty of counter evidence.
- Havoc 7y agoMade good money off that one :D
- marktangotango 7y agoInteresting, can you provide more detail?
- Havoc 7y agoNothing super fancy After their stock crashed there was a small window of time where the tech crowd had concluded the claim is bullshit but the stock didn't go back up. Checked out their financials and that seemed fine so stuck money in it and waited for it to recover
- HeWhoLurksLate 7y agoMy guess is that he shorted SuperMicro during that time period- that makes the most sense to me.
- Havoc 7y agoNo bought after the crash. And no, no insider info. Just willingness to take a bit of risk
- z2 7y agoOr the opposite, as in buying the stock when it was down and seeing it nearly double since then.
- A2017U1 7y agoWhy not both? As a party with inside knowledge you can profit in both directions easily.
- mehrdadn 7y agoI completely forgot about that. Did anything come of it?
