I was in Paris until yesterday, and just got back to NYC. Being stuck in the heat wave without AC made me realize one thing: given the choice of no AC, or NYC-style "it's winter all year long" AC, I take no AC any day. I'm probably in the tiny minority though. That said AC at reasonable levels is wonderful.
