Based on my usage only password fields get the password. Unless the site improperly marks up a password field, browsers won’t auto fill.
While typing this on Chrome for iOS, I attempted to fill my password in this text area. Chrome will not let me, and posts an alert informing that the field is insecure.
- shmerl 7y agoI don't mean browsers doing it, but external password managers, like Keepassxc mentioned in another comment.
