But even here, where you'd think the map coverage would be near strongest, I've occasionally had an app attempt to route me down a private drive or a fire road. In fact, if you look for hiking trailheads frequently enough, I'd be surprised if it doesn't happen to you. That's a class of cases where I'd hope most users are keeping their head about them as they travel; hiking as recreation requires that of its participants. Still, edge cases matter, and the closer we get to a world of autonomous vehicles, they matter more.
