I always make sure to select a few wrong squares out of principle and after 6 or 7 attempts I'm usually allowed into whatever site I was visiting. Nobody knows the exact algorithm, so trying to please it, or worse - agonising that you answered wrong - is completely foolish. Just click a few squares that seem right and roll the dice. Beating yourself over not solving reCAPTCHA correctly makes the terrorists win.
