I worry about this as my 6 is on its second battery and slowly dying. Apple Pay really needs to make the Express Transit feature - where confirmation is already "done" for your selected (read: default) card - available for all transaction types by default. It doesn't solve the unlock delay, but it would make most other things people use FaceID for much quicker.
