They should call this "The Deming Way" since most of it sounds identical to Deming's management philosophy and he taught Toyota back in the 1960s[1]. His system also had 14 points, which probably isn't a coincidence[2].

- kesor 7y agoPretty sure that Deming and Taiichi Ohno both are responsible for the creation of these ideas, and they both learned from each other and improved. Which is why eventually it looks very similar looking at it from either side.
