Replace vague suggestions like "recommend" with "must have voluntary parting coverage on your own insurance policy".
Collect the policy number.
Require confirmation that policy is active before every listing goes live.
Long-term solution: work with a carrier to underwrite this risk for your lenders so they don't need to involve their insurance.
It's clear that the platform is forcing its paying customers to shoulder all risk. Theft by not returning is the primary risk for which the customers are paying a premium.
