For what it's worth, there seems to be a silver lining for some diabetics today, separate from the issue of insulin pricing -- the technology available now for continuous glucose monitoring, that takes a lot of dangerous guesswork out of day to day living. It is another ongoing cost, but, it seems, not quite as devastating as what is going on with insulin.
