Manufacturing Consent. I don’t think it reaches the journalist level, though, in my experience journalists are far more willing to publish things than the people and organizations that fund them. Sometimes they’re even allowed to provide a veneer of plausible deniability wrt bias, although not enough to actually inform the reader regularly of perspectives that are unpopular in washington, wall street, etc. There are also independent media groups that still provide high quality analysis that don’t appear to be bought.
