  I only got 4-5 paragraphs in, but this is pointedly a story, not a piece of documentation.

      No problem :) There are multiple ways to get a point across. Some people respond well to stories. Some people respond better to data. Some people are helpful. Some people are condescending. It's a wonderfully diverse world.
