Even when they come from a burning radioactive material?
- scraptor 7y agoThe material itself isn't radioactive, it's just contaminated with radioactive particles.
- mirimir 7y agoIt depends on which radioactive material. TFA is about Cs-137, which melts at 28.5 °C, and boils at 671 °C. So filters should capture it, as long as the flue gas is cooled first. I-125 boils at 184.3 °C, so more will go through particle filters. But activated charcoal will absorb it.
