This is the same browser that used to scrape users' email addresses and automatically sign them up to a mailing list promoting the developer's other products that was impossible to unsubscribe from[1]. I strongly suspect this involves data collection from the built in VPN and has nothing to do with adblocking given how many other browsers with adblock functionality are on the Play Store.
