I tried the preemptive kernel and didn't make a difference. I also tried Bitwig and it's great, but I use a Push I. That creates an issue (Bitwig support for Push fails in 2 major points: note repeat, and delete functionality... and they keep making changes without adding something as simple as that to the devices API).
