Valid point, but you would probably get a lot of people showing up to the apple store believing they needed a replacement. Because the text was green (or just not red) and no one really reads anything. And then they'd be really pissed off customers who would really believe that the website response changed since the first time they checked it. At least I've had the misfortune of being on the receiving end of those kinds of interactions (not in Apple stores but in software support in an earlier life).
