Unless you have a concrete way of measuring something as abstract as "cognitive load", the situation is as it ever was: the stuff liked by me is low cognitive load; the stuff liked by people who disagree with me is high cognitive load.
(Feel free to sub in "complexity", "cohesiveness", et cetera, for "cognitive load")
