Although the car was three miles away from the planned exit when the spoofing attack began, the car reacted as if the exit was just 500 feet away—abruptly slowing down, activating the right turn signal, and making a sharp turn off the main road.
This could be used in an assassination. To prevent this, motorcades should use human drivers until self driving cars become smart enough to realize when they're being spoofed.
- keldaris 7y agoThis is sarcasm, right? "Self-driving" cars can't handle normal road conditions in most of the world, the idea that anyone would replace drivers skilled in offensive/defensive driving under urban combat conditions with an autopilot system is patently laughable.
- Chris_Chambers 7y agoHow long is it going to take you imbeciles to realize that self-driving cars will never work?
