That depends on what other languages you have programmed in. The "get it" and "mind-blowing" hyperbole comes from a time when people had perhaps only programmed in Basic or C. Especially people the latter group would have issues with how easy Lisp makes programming. Nowadays the hyperbole does Lisp a disservice.
