You don't need such a powerful notebook to do this. Just shoot tethered to a macbook (or just download your cards periodically) and review/edit in your software

You don't need such a powerful notebook to do this. Just shoot tethered to a macbook (or just download your cards periodically) and review/edit in your software of choice. If you want to get really fancy, shoot wirelessly to a macbook in a corner somewhere, and use your iPad to remote control it via VNC. NB I am (occasionally) a profesional photographer.
