I am pretty sure that ICE cars will survive as a hobby, that is: on the dedicated racetracks. On one hand it might get prohibitively expensive (track days are, already), on the other: since it will be the only way to enjoy driving a V8, etc. – it might get way more popular, and cheaper in the process.
