When will the planned changes to the Chrome API actually roll out to the public?
- sp332 7y agoThey'll be rolled out with Manifest V3 which as of last week was "still very much in development" https://groups.google.com/a/chromium.org/d/msg/chromium-extensions/DFWZ5b_Rghg/Qc8GmfCVBgAJ https://groups.google.com/a/chromium.org/d/msg/chromium-exte...
- ehsankia 7y agoThe best estimates would be rolling out by next year, and enforced in probably 2 years. And they will probably change quite a lot until then.
- tbodt 7y agoI expect by the time anything actually ships, the API will be extended enough to allow most of uBlock Origin's functionality to stay.
